The Old Man and the Sea

I have heard many things about this book, and by what I have heard, I am not looking forward to reading this book at all. I have heard that this book is short, but extremely boring. Apparently, the whole book is about a man fishing for a fish that he cannot seem to catch. This does not sound appealing to me at all. I am going to try to read this book without these opinions in my head to form one for myself. I really hope this book turns out to have a good ending or an interesting plot because it is really hard for me to remain focused in books that are too detailed or dragged out. The book is very thin, so regardless of how great it is or isn't, it should be an easy read.
