Carl Luce

Carl Luce use to go to school with Holden. He was the very open-minded, willing to talk about anything kind of guy. He often talked about sex, and Holden invites him to have drinks with him. Holden begins to try and start a conversation about sex, but Luce refueses to say anything about it. This shows that everyone grows up, and the Holden should soon be maturing.

Mr. Antolini

Mr. Antolini has Holden stay with him. He was Holden's old english teacher. Holden has a high respect for Mr. Antolini and stays the night at his home. Later in the night he wakes up to Mr. Antolini stroking his head. He is very disturbed by this, and Mr. Antolini gives readers the impression that he is either bisexual, or is very loving towards Holden, like a father is to a son.

Maurice

Maurice is a bad character. He is the elevator operator in the hotel where Holden stays in New York. He offers Holden female company for $5 and Holden accepts. Holden got scammed, and Maurice came to collect the rest of the money. He gets beaten by Maurice, which is where we learn that Maurice is shady.

Sunny

Sunny is the prostitute that keeps Holden company. Although they do not have sexual relations, and she is only in a few chapters, she is a very important character, which reveals a lot about Holden. Holden refuses to have sex with her because he is nervous, and is too immature. He feels out of place, and awkward, which really shows his innocence.
