Chapter 6
Joad stumbles upon an old house which is caved in on one side. He believes his family is dead, but is told by Mully, a man who refuses to leave, that his family went to Uncle John's house. They camp out that night, and have rabbit for dinner. The landowners see their fire and come looking for them, but they hide. They decide to set out for Uncle John's at daybreak.
Chapter 7
This chapter is about a used car salesman who is trying to sell his cars. He uses guilt on some people saying they were wasting his time. It seems like he is making really good money, and is very good at coaxing money out of people.
Chapter 8
Chapter 8 was about Tom an the preacher walking to uncle johns. They met up with tons family and they were very happy to see him. His family is getting ready to go to california and tom is going to go with him there. They have breakfast together and preacher says grace. They go out and look at the truck and we meet al, toms younger brother. Al knows a lot about trucks and he looked over the truck thy were taking to California with them. This chapter concludes by al and Tom reuniting and al seems jealous of Tom.
